On September 6th, 2008, at Hooters, Lakeline, the Dragonslayers FF MC will be hosting their one and only annual fundraiser, The Run for the Fund, benefitting the Austin Fireighters Relief and Outreach Fund.   

The fund provides assistance to citizens of Travis and surrounding counties who are left in need due to a major catastrophe, such as flood or fire. 

There will be giveaways, raffles, auctions, Hooters girls, a bikini bike wash, live music, a bike show with prizes, firefighters, hot wings, cold beer, other food and refreshments and it all takes place from noon to 5 pm at Hooters in Lakeline. 

$10.00 donation gets you raffle tickets, door prize tickets, chance to hear great live music and our company!

Come on out and join us.  We'd love to see youse!

In the spirit of the Fund, we will be making a donation to the Ruiz family, a member of the Tornados MC and of our community, who were left out in the cold when their home and everything in it, including their children's clothing and supplies, burnt to the ground just the other day.

Dragonslayers host blood drive

The Dragonslayers FF Motorcycle Club hosted a blood drive on June 1 for Dragonslayer Ronnie, a Texas professional firefighter who was hit by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle on April 22 and lost his left leg.

The blood drive exceeded the expected donation amount for a four-hour period in just two and a half hours.

The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas coordinated the blood drive.

A fellow firefighter and member of the Dragonslayers FF MC, Dragonslayer
Ronnie, was hit by a drunk driver on April 22nd.

He needs more blood.

The Dragonslayers FF MC, in conjunction with the United Clubs of Austin and
the Austin Confederation of Clubs, will be holding a blood drive at the
Moose Lodge, at 2103 EM Franklin, Austin, on Sunday, June 1st, 2008, between
3 pm and 7 pm.

The Blood Center of Central Texas will be there giving out cookies and juice to all
blood donors and the Lodge will be open for everyone, donating or not.

Dragonslayer Ronnie, so far, has had three surgeries. They had to remove his left leg almost to his knee.  He's off the respirator now but there is a drain tube in his lung. They had to put a rod in his femur.  He has a broken clavicle.

He's got 2 children, I believe (might be more).  Thoughts and Prayers are always welcome.
